BAKELESS OREO CHEESECAKE

I got this recipe from a member of 'Kongsi Recipe', Wardah Berduri.
Thank you kak for the recipe.
Mintak halal ye publish pat sini.

Anyway, I was right about the hunch.
Something wrong did happened to my oreo cheesecake.
The recipe stated that I have to refrigerate the cake for at least 6 hrs.
I did.
Overnight pulak tu.
But after 12 hours, only my base is perfect.
Solid molid! LOL! Lurve it
The top layer, total failure.
I tried to cut a portion but to my dismay, the top layer was very lumpy
Baru keluarkan dari fridge, atasnya dah lembik, apatah lagi kalau di bawak ke mana2 untuk 'promote'?
LOL! Confirm tak laku punya....

Was quite disheartened at first.
Put it back to the fridge and was prepared to vow not to do bakeless oreo cheesecake again when Mahadir came home from school and helped save the day!

"Abg Eijam!!!!!!!" I was upstairs thus the pekik memekik....
"Kenapa ice-cream ni Abg Eijam taruk pat fridge bawah??!!!! Apasal tak taruk pat freezer????!!!!"

*POOF!!!!*
A lightbulb emerge from my head.
I look at the clock, 4 hours more before I go to DuaM for Mini Monster's Projek 3K meeting.
Dengan pantasnya kita turun ke dapur dan keluarkan cheesecake tu.
Nasib baik tak buang.
Then I froze it at the freezer.
3 and a half hours later, I was a contented man.
The cheesecake turns out just as I initially expected it to be.
Cut in into half and brought it to Dua M and the other half 
remained in the freezer to be freeze furthur.
It was purrrfect when I reached home.
Only that instead of half, only a quarter remained.
I guess the best is after freezing it, let it out a while before serving.
So that it softens a bit and allowing the ooohhhh-melt-in-your-mouth effect.

So Kak Wardah, if you are reading this,
am I right to freeze the cheesecake pat freezer?

BAKELESS OREO CHEESECAKE 
Recipe from: Wardah Berduri

A bit lumpy. Only 3 and a half hour in the freezer.
Purrfect.
Bahan-bahannya:

Lapisan bawah:
2 bungkus 150gm Oreo cookies
50gm mentega
(kita derhaka sikit. Kita tambah lagi 20gm. Tengok macam tak cukup tapi mungkin pasal kita tambah biskut lagi kot. Rasa-rasanya kalau 50gm tu mencukupi, then 50 gm it is).



 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Lapisan Atas:
500gm cream cheese
1cawan gula halus 
(kita pakai gula kastor)
250ml whipping cream
1/4 cawan jus lemon
(kita tak suka masam2 jadi lagi sekali kita derhaka, satu biji lemon tu bila jusnya dah diperah, kita pakai setengah je jus tersebut. Kak Wardah pun ada mention, kalau tak suka masam boleh kurangkan)
3 sudu teh of serbuk Gelatin
1/4cup air suam
1 sudu teh vanilla essence
6 keping oreo - dibuang krim tengahya dan dihancurkan. Read - kita pakai blender. 
 
 











Cara-caranya:

Lapisan bawah:
Mentega di cairkan diketuhar/microwave untuk 40 - 60 saat. Kemudian, let it cool to room temperature.
Kemudian, pelan2 kayuh, buang krim tengah setiap biskut oreo yang ada dan hancurkan ia hingga menyerupai bread crumbs. Kita hancurkan dengan menggunakan blender.( Jangan lah pulak pakai blender yang selalu buat blend rempah ye. kalau ada gunakan yang berasingan. Nasib lah kita ada blender khusus untuk kisar kacang sahaja ).
 
 
Kemudian satukan mentega dan biskut crumbs tadi dan gaul sebati.
Alaskan loyang yang akan anda gunakan dengan aluminium foil. (kita tak pasti untuk apa. Maybe Kak Wardah boleh explain?)
Masukkan campuran biskut crumbs dan mentega  ke dalam loyang dan tekap2 ia hingga ia seimbang dan mampat. Kita gunakan bawahnye gelas.
Sejukkan di peti ais selama 30 min.

Lapisan atas:
 
 

Larutkan serbuk gelatin dengan air suam. Kemudian masukkan jus lemon (ingat! kalau tak nak masam, kurangkan jus lemon) dan kacau sebati. Ketepikan in room temperature.





 Satukan cream cheese, gula dan vanilla essence.


  
 
 
 
Pukul hingga berkrim.
 
 
 
 
 
Dalam bekas yang berasingan, pukul whipping cream hingga lembut/gebu/fluffy.
 
 
 
 
 
Masukkan whipping cream ke dalam adunan cream cheese. 
Pukul sebati.
 
 
 
 
  
Masukkan adunan gelatin dan jus lemon dan pukul lagi hinga sebati.


  
 
 
Keluarkan dari alat pemutar dan masukkan serpihan 6 keping biskut tadi (tinggalkan sedikit) ke dalam adunan dan bancuh perlahan.
 
 
 
 
 
Tuangkan adunan lapisan atas ke dalam acuan yang mengandungi biscuit base tadi.


 


Siap untuk dibekukan di dalam freezer sekurang-kurangnya 5 jam.
Sebelum itu tabur lebihan serpihan biskut oreo di atas kek.




Tips tambahan:
- Resepi ini elok digunakan loyang yang berukuran 8"x8"x2.5"
- Resepi di atas atau resepi2 cake atau kuih muih lain yang perlukan ukuran mengikut sukatan cawan,
USAH GUNAKAN CAWAN MINUMAN....LOL! Seelok-eloknya gunakan cawan ukuran khusus atau measuring cup yang bertanda. Ini untuk mendapatkan hasil kuih atau kek yang memuaskan. Asmah Laili yang ajar. Betul jugak....kalau pakai cawan minuman, hmmm...cawan Cik Jah lain size, cawan Cik Enab lain size, cawan Cik Kiah pun lain...so yang mana satu....LOL! Measuring cup to pat kedai2 jual pinggan mangkuk mesti banyak lah.

So there it goes.
My attempt at doing Bakeless Oreo Cheesecake.
Selalu buat cheesecake biasa pakai cara steam-bathing.
This is something new and DEFINITELY will do it again!

The taste?
Should have taken a photo of Rilla, Musa and Lydia dipping and munching away happily.
LOL! Sedarpp lah tu....

Just a random thought....
Whipping cream, Bahasa Melayu panggil apa ekh???

    Whipping cream bahasa Melayu dipanggil krim putar :)
    (for ur info i guna double whipped cream & i whip it till very stiff)
    I didnt even freeze my cake,juz chilled overnight..apsal u nye lembek eh? My suggestion lain kali kalau u buat, u tambahkan gelatine powder lah..biar keras sikit cake tuh..
    i guna aluminium foil coz i'm using springform baking tin, the one that can be detached bahagian bawahnye..

    LOL! Kakak ni funny lah...pat facebook panggil zam. hehehe. Mamang is my nickname...alah...apa2 pun boleh lah...

    ur resepi kata 3 teaspoon gelatin. so next time i pakai 6 maebe? bout the aluminium foil, i da tgk the tengok springform baking tin baru i faham kenapa. hmmm, baking tin bole pakai tuk buat kuih2 lain tak? like talams?

  3. Salam Zam.. :)Kiter pon org boyan tau, jgn marah hah..ekekeke!! *my dad boyan, mak jawa..tapi jgn harap i nih fasih in both bahasa..hancuss abiss!!!Hahaha!!!

    boleh jugak kalau nak guna springform tin tuh buat kueh talam..as for the gelatin powder, u guna 11gm to 3tblspn of hot water, making sure all dissolved ye.. (^_^)
