AYAM MASAK MERAH WANGI

Assalammualaikum Wr Wb..

I am not really a fan of Ayam Masak Merah actually.
Because most of them that I had is too sourish for my tastebud.
And Arwah Nenek, for as long as I remember tak pernah buat pun.
Not even for Hari Raya.
My family always have another type of chicken dish for Hari Raya.
Will share with you guys soon!

However, if the Ayam Masak Merah is good,
I will definitely do it justice and give it a shot.
The ones worth me mentioning is Ayam Masak Merah cooked by my firnd, Dyk's mum.
Had it over at his place during Hari Raya visits.
The sourish flavour and its spiciness is just right for me.

Another one was done by my all time favourite gal/bitch friend, Ayu. LOL!
This Ayam Masak Merah Wangi recipe is from her.
The daun limau purut (kaffir lime leaves) does justice to this dish man!

AYAM MASAK MERAH WANGI


Bahan-bahannya:

Bahan Kisar:
5 biji bawang merah
4 ulas bawang putih
3 batang serai
1 inci halia
1/2 inci lengkuas














Bahan Sos:
1/2 kilo ayam - dilumur sedikit garam dan serbuk kunyit kemudian goreng lembap.
2 helai daun limau purut
2 senduk cili kering kisar
1 batang kulit kayu manis
1 kuntum bunga lawang
1 kuntum bunga cengkih
1 labu bawang besar
- dimayang
1 1/2 sos cili
1 1/2 sos tomato
1 1/2 sos tiram
garam dan gula secukup rasa
sedikit air - kalau nak berkuah sikit. kalau nak pekat2 tak payah k.














Cara-caranya: 
NOTE: Gambar dibawah menunjukkan kita masak menggunakan bahan2 di atas kali 3. Pasal kita masak untuk 1 1/2 kilo ayam. Maklumlah ummat banyak nak makan dalam rumah ni. Jangan terperanjat apabila bahan-bahannya macam banyak gitu. Harap maklum.




Panaskan minyak, masukkan kulit kayu manis, cengkih dan bunga lawang.






Masukkan bahan2 yang dikisar bersama daun limau purut. Tumis hingga naik bau atau wangi.






Masukkan cili kisar. Tumis sampai pecah minyak.



 

Masukkan sos cili.







Masukkan sos tomato.



 



Masukkan sos tiram.







Masukkan bawang, garam dan gula secukupnya. Gaul sehingga sebati.






Masukkan ayam. Gaul lagi hingga sebati. 





Hidangkan dengan penuh kasih dan sayang.
Alhamdulillah

Sebenarnya, lauk ni amat sesuai dimakan dengan Nasi Minyak
Tetapi memandangkan kita bikin Nasi Beriani hari ni, sental je lah!
Yang penting, another thumbs up from everybody in the house...Yahoo!!!
