SALAM SATU MALAYSIA DAN 
SELAMAT HARI KEMERDEKAAN BAGI RAKAN2 DARI MALAYSIA!!!!!

Sungguh tak kena ucapan ni dengan tajuk entry ni.
Tapi bukankkah ini satu keukhwahan?
Yang tulis orang Singapore, masak lauk Indonesia
lepas tu beri ucapan pada rakyat Malaysia.
Class kan!!!

Maaflah sangat2 kerana kita begitu sibuk hujung minggu yang lepas.
Semalam pulak memang tak kuasa nak buat apa2.
Sibuk dengan apa?
Sibuk dengan projek2 kita Cik Kiah oi....

Sabtu dan Ahad, ni jelah mampu kita buat....


Itu semua adalah tempahan yang orang2 buat melalui kita.
Terima kasih lah pada semua yang sudi tempah kuih tart ni dan juga di atas kepercayaan anda.
Kalau sedap, tahun depan order lagi ye!!!

K k....dah jauh dah melalut...
Sabtu lepas kita buat Ayam Masak Palembang.
Itu jelah masanya kita buka stove.
Ahad dan semalam, Bazaar Ramadan Jurong jawabnya. 
LOL!

Resepi ini pun dapat dari, biasa jugak, tak lain tak bukan, Kak Ayu.
Maaflah tak de gambar bahan dan cara2 langsung.
Pasal kita dah kelam kabut buat lauk ni.
Ada story sikit.

Mula2 ingatkan tak jadi lauk ni.
Masa kita taruk santan, terus pucat jadinya.
Kita ingatkan salah, pasal Kak Ayu cakap taruk 2 cawan santan.
Kak Ayu tak cakap santan cair ke pekat.
Kita pun taruk je santan pekat.
Tetiba je jadi pucat.
Berkat pengalaman yang tak seberapa ni, kita decided to wait.
Dalam 5 minit gitu, baru warnanya jadi kemerahan.
LOL!
Nasib baik, kalau tak...telefon dah standby da nak call KFC!

Kak Ayu punya digoreng kemudian kuahnya disira di atas.
Kita punya goreng jugak lepas tu humban terus dalam kuahnya.

AYAM MASAK PALEMBANG

Bahan-bahannya:
1 ekor ayam - dipotong kecil kemudian digoreng (kita biasa jugak pakai ayam kepak)
5 biji bawang besar dipotong bulat
200g bawang kecil dibuat bawang goreng - kita pakai bawang goreng dah siap.

Bahan2 Kisar:
15 biji bawang merah kecil
3 biji bawang putih
2 sudu teh ketumbar
1 sudu teh jintan manis
1 sudu teh jintan halus
20 biji cili kering
1 cm lengkuas
2 batang serai

Bahan2 tumis:
5 kuntum bunga cengkeh
3 biji buah pelaga
2cm kulit kayu manis
1 biji kelapa- diambil 2 cawan santan
2 keping asam gelugur/asam keping
11/2 sudu teh garam
1 sudu teh gula
3 sudu makan minyak untuk menumis

Method:-
Ayam dibersihkan, dipotong kecil, dibubuh garam dan kunyit. Kemudian digoreng dan diketepikan. Panaskan 3 sudu besar minyak, kemudian tumis bunga cengkeh, buah pelaga dan kulit kayu manis. Kemudian masukkan bahan2 giling dan tumis hingga garing. Masukkan santan, garam, gula dan asam gelugur. Biarkan santannya mendidih dan pekat sedikit, baru masukkan ayam dan bawang besar potong bulat, gaul rata dan biarkan mendidih lagi. Bila menghidangkan taburkan bawang goreng diatasnya.

EMANG DASAR!!!

I admit that I am full of flaws.
I admit that it was you, who despite of your young age, guided me back on track.
It was because of you that I came back to my family and my friends.
It was you who were there listening to me as I pour out my thoughts and feelings.
It was you whom I leaned my head on as I cried thinking of the pathetic state I was in.
It was with you that I spent my lonely days with.
And for all that, I thank you.

I admit that I fell for you because of your maturity.
I felt safe and secured having you by my side.
But we've made it clear that it was impossible for both of us.
We came to a conclusion that as and when I needed you, 
you will be there for me and my whole trunk of emotional baggage.

And because of that too, I believe, you think that I owe you big time.
You felt superior to me.
"...Aku baru 19 tahun tapi kau, 27 tahun, dengar cakap aku..." may be what you were thinking.
You felt that I was at your beck and call.
Well....
For the record, I purposely lowered myself to that extent.

Never did I realise how much of a hypocrite you were until now.
I was warned but I unheaded the advice.
Perhaps it was my bad fortune everytime to go through every shit once before learning my mistake.

You claimed not to be like your friend whom we both knew.
In fact, you were worst.
Luckily, fate has it that you only had the few chances you had, to scrap me off my money.

You've brainwashed me, and others too, regarding you ex.
I pity your ex becuase your ex has to put up will all the shit.
You've succeeded in making people hate your ex.
My heart goes to you, EX.
But your ex is one strong person who pushed everything aside and moved on.
While you did not.

I met your ex and we told each other what needed to be told.
It all started because I wanted to know how you were doing.
Although I was angry with you months back because of your reply when I looked you up,
I still care.
I ended up being more furious.

I remember warning and telling you regarding certain things.
You obviously did not listen.
I questioned myself why.
Looking back, you did the same to me and I believe you did the same to whoever it may concern.
WHOM happened to be my arch-enemy.
How much more remarkable can things be...

Well...
if you think that I am inferior as compared to you,
you are very wrong dear.
And I don't need to prove it to you.
Time will tell.

You've got nothing.
Really.
NOTHING.
You are just a shadow of everything and everyone else. 

However, beneath all that, I miss you.
 And I do want to carry on befriending you.
Possible or not, I leave it to Allah Almighty.

What really pissed me off right now is that, I can't believe you would stoop so low
just for a watch and jacket.
 
If I continue typing any longer, I will just burst and names will appear.

KUIH TART SANA SINI

Assalammulaikum Wr Wb...

Maaflah tak update beberapa hari ni.
Bukan malas tapi dah over rajin buat order kuih tart untuk Hari Raya.
Dah alang kepalang, buat sekali order kuih makmur.
Adunan nya sama pun.

Nilah dia nak tayang kita punya

HOME MADE KUIH TART.

Ini adalah kuih tart kita yang original standard size.


Yang ni pulak adalah mega kuih tart. LOL!
Design dia lain sikit.
Cuba perhatikan.



Yang standard size tu biasa punya kuih tart, tepinya di kepit.
Yang mega kuih tart tu pulak, tepungnya dibentuk pakai acuan.

Tapi pada kita, bezanya setakat bentuk.
Inti lebih kurang sama banyaknya.
Ini bermakna kita tak lokek inti.
LOL!
Alhamdulillah banyak yang order.
Selalunya untk Hari Raya orang banyak order yang biasa punya.
Yang mega tart tu selalunya bila orang buat majlis.
Sembaranglah lah...asalkan orang order, bayar dan puas hati, Alhamdulillah...
Terima kasih pada semua ynag menyokong.
Dan untuk pengetahuan, kita masih menerima order bagi kuih tart dan kuih makmur.

ROTI BOYAN part 2

Assalammualaikum Wr Wb...

Did Roti Boyan again.
But this time, I used Bro Rozzan's (click) recipe.
And I learnt my lesson the other time around.
The potatoes for the fillings are thoroughly cooked and mashed.
The last time I did, there were chunks of potatoes in my fillings.
Uncooked some more!!!
LOL!

ROTI BOYAN

Bahan-bahan:


Bahan-bahan untuk kulit roti:

650 gm tepung gandum
320 ml air suam-suam panas
60 ml minyak sayur
2 sudu makan minyak sapi
½ sudu teh baking powder
1 sudu teh gula
½ sudu teh garam













Cara-cara membuat kulit roti:

Satukan air suam panas, minyak, minyak sapi, baking powder, gula dan garam di dalam sebuah bekas. Masukkan tepung sedikit demi sedikit dan uli sehingga menjadi doh yg lembut. Buatlah beberapa bebola mengikut saiz yg anda inginkan. Biarkan sebentar.


Bahan-bahan untuk inti:

1 kg kentang (dibersihkan & direbus hingga empuk, kemudian buang kulit dan lecek)
3 biji telur
(kocok sedikit)
sedikit daun sup/bawang
(dihiris)
2 biji bawang besar
(potong dadu)
sedikit sayur campur
(optional)
secukup lada putih serbuk
sedikit serbuk perencah PASTI SEDAP KNORR
(hehehe kita yang pandai2 taruk...derhaka punya budak! LOL)
garam secukup rasa













Cara membuat inti:
Gaul semua bahan dan sesuaikan rasanya.

Cara Membuat Roti Boyan:

Canai satu bebola doh yg direhatkan tadi hingga menjadi sekeping bulatan. Isikan dgn inti dan lipatlah menjadi persegi empat. Goreng diatas kuali leper seperti menggoreng roti canai.Bubuh minyak sekali-sekala dan angkatlah setelah Roti Boyan ini kekuning-kuningan.
Ada lagi satu cara dimana adunan tepung di-klim tepinya seperti epok2. Tapi itu kita tak kuasa nak buat. Kita buat macam cara di atas. Sengaja kasi intinya mampat dan kita buat macam mini-murtabak.

Rajin2 lah jenguk ye...

Tapi....
kita ada jugak buat lagi satu sambal.

DAGING MASAK LADA HITAM

Assalammualaikum Wr Wb...

Resepi ni sebenarnya asal dari Che Mat Gebu (klik) dan diberi nama
Blackpepper Beef with Capsicum.
Tengok pat blog dia macam menyelerakan.
Ala...semua yang dekat blog Che Mat semua sedap2.
Cantik2 pulak tu gambar nye, betul punya membangkitkan selera.
Kalau dibandingkan dengan gambar2 kita,
sigh...
 Che Mat ibarat kejora di awangan
Kita sekadar sebutir pasir di tengah lautan....
LOL!!!

Resepi kita ni takde capsicum memandangkan kita masak pukul 3 pagi untuk sahur.
Ala2 basic je kita punya blackpepper beef.
Tapi rasanya Alhamdulilah sedap.

Resepi yang kita sertakan ini adalah asal Che Mat Gebu punya yang complete.
I will state though which ingredients I omit out.
Harap maklum.

DAGING MASAK LADA HITAM

Bahan-bahannya:

500 daging batang pinang - dihiris, cuci dan toskan (kita pakai daging cubes yang jual pat NTUC.)
2 inci halia*
1 camca besar penuh lada hitam biji*
3 ulas bawang putih
*(*ditumbuk lumat)
3 camca besar kicap cair
1 camca besar sos tiram
1/2 biji red capsicum
- hiris kasar (kita tak ada)
1/2 biji yellow capsicum
- hiris kasar (kita tak ada)
1/2 biji green capsicum
- hiris kasar (kita tak ada)
2 biji bawang besar
- hiris kasar
2 batang leek - potong kasar (kita tak ada)
1/2 cawan air
1/2 sudu besar  besar gula
Hirisan daun sup, untuk hiasan
(kita tak ada)
Bawang goreng untuk hiasan
(kita tak ada)













Cara-caranya:

 
Seperti yang tertera di atas, halia, bawang putih dan biji lada hitam ditumbuk lumat lalu dilumur ke daging. Masukkan juga kicap cair dan sos tiram. Perap sekurang2 nya 30 min.
Kita perap 1 jam setengah di peti sejuk.
 

 
Panaskan minyak dan dengan ungkapan Bismillahirohmannirahim, masukkan leek jika ada. Kemudian masukkan perapan daging bersama jusnya sekali.Kacau rata, kecilkan api kemudian masukkan air dan masak hingga daging lembut

Masukkan segala macam capsicum (jika ada), hirisan bawang. Tunggu hingga capsicum dan bawang layu. Kemudian perasakan dengan gula atau kicap cair untuk tambah masin jika perlu, dan apa2 serbuk perada jika ada. Gaul rata. Didih agar kuahnya pekat sedikit. Hidangkan dengan bahan2 hiasan jika ada.



Hidangkan dengan penuh kasih dan sayang.
Alhamdulillah.

Mula2 cuma kita je makan.
Lepas tu Cik Din.
Entah tekak dia apa angin, dia cakap....

"....mmmm rasanya macam dengdeng...."

Anyway, dia cakap gitu je....mata yang lain2 semua jeling pat daging tu,
Min start hulur tangan ambik sikit.

Lepas tu yang lain satu2 ambik sikit, sikit, sikit.....

10 THINGS

This entry is not about me cooking 10 dishes at one time.
Giler kaper!
Kalah catering orang kahwin.
LOL!

This entry would be one that has nothing to do with cooking nor baking.
This would be a pilot entry to many more future entries regarding random 10 things.
Thought that it will be a channel for this blog's readers, if there's any, to know me more.
And definitely a breath of fresh air when there's too much recipes at one go.

Today's entry would be, since we are in the middle of Ramadan,

10 Things I Like about Iftar & Sahur.

1. The abundance of Kueh
    During Ramadan, all sorts of Kueh which seems to shy themselves 
away throughout the year, suddenly appear in abundance. 
Especially at bazaars.
Apart from the normal putri salat, kuih lapis, etc, customers alike will suddenly be enticed to buy near-extinct kueh like jongkong, lompat tikam, badak berendam and many others.
The table at home will definitely be full.
This apply to recipes blog as well.
Tetiba macam2 resepi kueh keluar.
Rajin sungguh,com!

2. Ya-Karim song at Warna 94.2 FM after Maghrib
Listener's alike would definitely recognise it's melancholic melody
and the lead singer's tarik tinggi2 part tengah2, if thay listened to Warna long enough.
The song has been played ever since I can remember.
Until now I don't know the title and who sings it.
Lagu ini dikategorikan sebagai lagu musiman.
Hanya dapat didengar di bulan Ramadan sahaja.

3. Kurma
Eating kurma during other months seem to have a different effect 
as compared to having it during Ramadan.
Perhaps it's because we have been without food for a whole day and to have something sweet to break our fast is definitely more satisfying.
I swear by Ajwa, or what is called Kurma Nabi.
Arwah Nenek said that during Rasulullah SWT time, 
Ajwa was the cheapest and was known as the peasant Kurma.
Deemed inferior as compared to Safawi, Medina, Majdool.
However, Rasulullah choose Ajwa to be his kurma of choice
and after his passing, prices of Ajwa soared.
Demand rises as people wants to follow Rasulullah's steps in almost evrything.

4. Air Katirah
Maybe it is sold during other months as well but I for one, have NEVER seen and drink Air Kathirah except during Ramadan. And if I rajin, 
my Kathirah of choice would be the one sold at Bussoroh Street by this old lady, presumably of Arab descent or DKK and wears huge shades.
Glamour you...makcik jual Air Kathirah.
She has original flavour and other twists as well, such as corn, durian and avocado.
First tasted her Air Kathirah in 2000.
Was passing by her stall and she tried selling it to me.
I fall for her words.
"...anak..beli air kathirah nak...InsyaAllah sedap, tak basi. 
Kita jual bulan puasa ni tak bagus tipu2..."
I was sceptical in the beginning but when it was time to break fast, I tasted it...
I was at her stall the next day, and many days after, and many years that follow. 
Till today.


5. Chance to meet old friends during Iftars.
Childhood friends, kindergarten friends, primary school friends, secondary school friends, poly friends, JC friends, ITE friends, University friends, old workplace friends, 
and other friends yang sewaktu dengannya.
Selalunya kawan2 dalam kategori ini jumpa 2 kali setahun.
Once for Iftar, and once for jalan beraya.
For gathering sake.
After that, their numbers are safely stored in our phones and
will only be rung when the time to Iftar again the following year comes.
Thanks to Facebook, gatherings are much more frequent and we constantly know how they've been.

6. Post sahur feeling.
The air seem cooler and the atmosphere much more calming and serene
after sahur while waiting for Imsak.
Usually I am done with Sahur by 5 am and would have a good half an hour to just sit down, 
inhale my 'vitamin C' deeply (lol) and soak in the serenity while waiting for Subuh.
 I usually do a lot of thinking during this time.

7. The chance to practice recycling habits in the cooking sense.
This applies for those who cook at home during Ramadan.
With enough sense and a dash of creativity, 
unfinished food can be 'recycled'/turn into another meal.
Myself for example, left over white rice from sahur/buka, I use it for fried rice.
Left over stir fried potatoes with eggs, I mashed it up to make fillings for Roti Boyan.
Left over chicken from whatever dish,
I washed it, fried it and it will join in the Ayam Sambal Tumis dish.
Whatever as long as there are no wastages.

8. Morning faces.
I come from a family which places much importance in appearance.
Not all of us in the family are born with a perfect chiselled face, yours truly included.
However we are taught to at least keep our appearance neat.
Do not aggravate an already disastrous situation. 
Means - kalau da tak hensem/cantik, sekurang-kurangnya kemaskan lah diri agar nampak teliti.
Thus, it is with great anticipation in my family to see 
who comes to the table with muka pecah seribu.
It's comforting every morning during sahur to see someone who looks coiffed 
and well groomed all day long, 
looking like a survivor who just emerged from a wreck site dragging himself/herself to eat.

9. Everybody on the table.
Sahur is the only time in the whole year when everyone in the house can eat together.
Iftar varies because not all come home at the same time.
But sahur is definitely full attendance.

10. Lipton tea.
Laugh all you want.
But yes, I drink lipton tea in abundance during Ramadan.
Especially sahur.
To me, it helps increase the sugar intake in me to last me the whole day.
It is heaven if I have lipton tea when I'm doing No.6 (above)

AYAM MASAK MERAH BEREMPAH

Assalammualaikum Wr Wb...

Yes.
A chicken dish. 
AGAIN!

Did this before Sahur just now.
It's actually for Iftar later.
Got an errand to do later on and I don't want to forgo my sleep earlier.
Thus I did it way much earlier and now, it is ready on the stove, awaiting to be re-heat.

Got the recipe from Kak Ayu.
Again!
Jangan marah ye Kak, asyik masak resepi akak je.
2 reasons why.
One, I will be confused thus undecisive if I keep referring to other blogs.
Two, all of Kak Ayu's recipes kena dengan tekak semua dalam rumah ni.
I think I will just finish doing all her recipe before moving on to another blog.
LOL!

This dish I guess is best eaten with Nasi Minyak.
The taste is a tad too sourish for me.

AYAM MASAK MERAH BEREMPAH

Bahan-bahannya:

Bahan Utama:
1 ekor ayam - potong ikut suka hati, goreng setengah masak. 
3 biji bawang besar - hiris bulat
3 biji cengkih
4 biji buah pelaga
3cm kayu manis
200gm tomato puree
4 biji tomato - dipotong (kita tak gunakan pasal takde)
2 batang serai - dititik
3cm lengkuas - dititik
garam dan gula secukupnya (pandai2lah taruk ikut tekak masing2. Macam kita ni yang tak suka masam2, kita lebihkan gula dan tambah serbuk perencah Pasti Sedap KNORR....masing2 punya selera....)













Bahan Kisar:
10 batang lada kering
4 biji bawang putih
3cm halia
2 sudu makan ketumbar
2 sudu makan jintan manis
(ni petua Arwah Nenek. Dia kata, kalau pakai ketumbar dengan jintan, seeloknya rendam terlebih dahulu. Paling kurang 30 min. Nenek selalu rendam semalaman.)













Cara-caranya:



Panaskan minyak dan dengan ungkapan Bismillahhirohmannirahim
masukkan kesemua rempah beradik.





Masukkan serai dan lengkuas. Tumis semua sampai wangi.





Masukkan bawang. Tumis sampai layu. Kemudian masukkan bahan kisar. Tumis sampai naik bau.





Masukkan secawan air. (kita lebihkan pasal nak lauk ni berkuah dan nak kurangkan masam)




Masukkan tomato puree. Masukkan ayam. Masukkan garam dan gula secukupnya. Gaul rata sampai sebati. Teruskan masak sampai kuah agak pekat. Bila dah pekat, kalau ada tomato, masukkan tomato lalu hiasi dengan bawang goreng, kacang peas dan hirisan daun ketumbar.


Hidangkan dengan penuh kasih dan sayang.

STICKY CARAMEL CHICKEN WINGS

Assalammualaikum Wr Wb...

Did this for Iftar today.
After the Nasi Beriani and gang episdoe yesterday, I decided to do something way easier.
Lagi senang lagi bagus.
Kalau tak kerana belen2 sifat rajin yang masih tinggal dalam diri kita ni,
kita dah telefon Mc Delivery agaknya.

Amat sesuai bagi budak yang baru balik dari sekolah dan mak2 belum sempat/malas masak.
Resepi ini memerlukan Fish Sauce. 
Memandangkan kita tak ada, kita derhaka dengan menggantikan ia dengan Oyster Sauce.
Itu pun dah sedap.
Kalau pakai fish sauce macam mana resepinya suruh, jangan kata budak2,
Bapak budak pun suka agaknya. 
And to suit my taste bud, I furthur derhaka by tweaking the recipe a bit.

STICKY CARAMEL CHICKEN WINGS

Bahan-bahannya:

12 keping kepak ayam (belah dua jadi 24)
2 sudu besar minyak masak
3 ulas bawang putih - diketuk dengan kulitnya sekali (tak perlu kupas)
1 sudu besar halia - dicincang
1 sudu besar sos ikan
1 sudu besar kicap
1 sudu besar sos cili
1/4 cawan (60ml) madu
1 sudu perencah Pasti Seda KNORR - dibancuh dengan sedikit air (kalau takde takpe. kita saja2 tambah.)

Cara-caranya:



Panaskan minyak masak dan dengan ungkapan Bismillahhirohmannirahim,
masukkan halia dan bawang putih.





Kemudian terus masukkan ayam dan goreng selama 5 minit.




Masukkan segala macam sos dan bancuhan serbuk perasa Pasti Sedap.
Kacau rata, tutup periuk, dan masak selama 15 min dengan api yang sederhana. Gaul sekali sekala. 



Nota: Bila dah masuk madu, sos akan berbuih. Jangan takut bila tengok sos macam hangit towards the end. Bila sos dah agak kering dan bersalut pada wings ia akan jadi sticky dan caramelized macam barbecue chicken.
 
Hidangkan dengan penuh kasih dan sayang.

Lepas je lagu nasyid Ya Karim yang selalu main pat radio Warna selepas azan berbuka, 
ayam pun selesai dikerjakan.
